I just read this article in Yahoo.news about how this ball park vendor saved a child's life. The child was choking and everyone was standing around not knowing what to do. He sprang into action and proceeded to give abdominal thrust and forced the object out. It shouldn't be luck or chance that this man happened to be there and knew what to do. This is something that everyone should know. Accidents happen but some tragedies can be prevented. This incident could have had a very different ending, a tragic ending but because this one person knew what to do and reacted quickly, things turned out differently. This quick reaction can be the case for every individual if only people would learn CPR. Just Imagine if this child was not stranger but your child or parent or relative, wouldn't you want to know that you did everything possible to help? All it takes is a few hours of your time. Take a CPR and First Aid class and if ever you are in similar situation, you will know what to do. We spend time on less important things, why not something that could make a difference in someone's else? Maybe even your life. Take a CPR and First Aid class!
